Our first collection, Love Triangle, pays homage to France's former queen of opulence and scandal...Marie Antoinette.
In 1770, she married Louis XVI, despite the hesitation of the country as a whole. Their reign caused a lot of controversy - from her Austrian heritage, their lavish spending, and disconnection from the people. Their reign prompted the famous French revolution.
One not-so-secret, infamous story involves Count Axel Von Fersen, her "special friend" with whom she shared a questionable bond with until her passing. When she met her fate at the guillotine, he said: “I have lost everything I had in this world...the one I loved so much, for whom I would have given my life a thousand times over, is no more.”
